Galaxy Watch Ultra 2 Leak Hints at Bigger Battery and 5,000-Nit Display

Promotional renders reportedly showing Samsung's Galaxy Watch Ultra 2 have surfaced online, offering an early look at the rumored smartwatch ahead of the company's upcoming Galaxy Unpacked event. Samsung has not commented on the leaked material or confirmed the specifications shown in the images.

According to Mashable, the renders were shared by technology leaker Evan Blass on Substack. The leaked promotional material includes what appear to be product images alongside a list of hardware specifications that remain unverified until Samsung makes an official announcement.

Among the details listed is an 800mAh battery, compared with the 590mAh battery in the current Galaxy Watch Ultra. The larger capacity could provide additional power, although real-world battery life will depend on Samsung's hardware, software optimization and usage conditions. The leaked material does not include any official battery life estimates.

The leaked specifications also claim the smartwatch could reach up to 5,000 nits of peak brightness, compared with 3,000 nits on the current model. If accurate, the brighter display could improve outdoor visibility. Earlier leaks had also pointed to a significant increase in display brightness, although Samsung has not confirmed those reports.

Another specification listed in the leaked material is an IP69K rating. Samsung has not confirmed whether the Galaxy Watch Ultra 2 will receive that certification when it is officially introduced.

The leaked images also list Qualcomm's Snapdragon Wear Elite processor as the expected chipset. Samsung has not confirmed which processor will power the smartwatch.

The renders provide an early indication of what Samsung may announce at Galaxy Unpacked, but the specifications, design and features shown in the leaked material remain unconfirmed until the company officially introduces the Galaxy Watch Ultra 2.
