Google’s Pixel 11 Pro Fold went on sale in the United States on 20 August 2026 after the 12 August Made by Google event. The US Google Store lists it from $1,899 for 256GB. Nicholas Sutrich’s Android Central review, published 29 August 2026, calls it a solid upgrade over the Pixel 10 Pro Fold, then flags mediocre battery life, slow charging, a Tensor G6 that lags the price in his view, poor PWM dimming, and flat sides that make the phone hard to open.
That is one tester. WIRED’s Simon Hill scored the Fold 7/10 and also called battery the weak “Pro” claim. Tom’s Guide measured 12 hours 31 minutes of battery life and Geekbench 6 scores of 2,687 single-core and 7,381 multicore. 9to5Google’s Ben Schoon, reviewing on 26 August, found battery “decent, but still not very good” after a weak first impression. PetaTech24 did not run those tests.
At a Glance
- Announced 12 August 2026. US retail from 20 August 2026.
- US Google Store list: $1,899 (256GB). Launch coverage: $2,019 (512GB), $2,249 (1TB). All configs: 16GB RAM.
- Europe launch tables (GSMArena): about €2,000 / €2,130 / €2,390. Also reported as €1,999 / €2,129 / €2,389. UK list about £1,800 / £1,920 / £2,150. Vodafone’s 256GB contract pages have shown a total device cost near £1,906, which is not the same as the £1,800 list.
- Official: Tensor G6, Android 17, seven years of OS, security, and Pixel Drops, IP68, Pixelsnap.
- Displays: 6.5-inch cover and 8-inch inner OLED, 1-120Hz. Google lists inner peak brightness up to 3,600 nits.
- Battery labelling conflicts: Google and some launch sheets say typical about 4,750mAh. GSMArena, WIRED, and Tom’s Guide use 4,806mAh. Last year’s Fold was about 5,015mAh.
Why This Matters
At $1,899 in the US, about €1,999 to €2,000 in euro launch lists, and about £1,800 in the UK, the Fold sits $800 above the Pixel 11 Pro’s $1,099 US start. Buyers are paying for a second screen and a hinge. Reviewers agree the body is thinner and the panels are brighter than last year. They do not agree how bad the smaller battery is, or whether Tensor G6 is “slow for the price” or merely slower than Snapdragon 8 Elite-class rivals on paper.
Main Article
Sutrich’s 29 August piece is the review the user asked us to cover. Google’s store copy is the spec floor. Other labs are the check on whether one verdict became a consensus.
Google’s US product page prices the phone from $1,899, with a lower figure if you trade in. Specs list a 6.5-inch Super Actua cover (1080 x 2342) and an 8-inch Super Actua Flex inner panel (2076 x 2152), both 1-120Hz. The inner sheet lists up to 2,000 nits HDR and up to 3,600 nits peak. Closed thickness is 10.1mm. Weight is 239g. Google says that is almost 1mm thinner and almost 10 percent lighter than the Pixel 10 Pro Fold, with a redesigned hinge and materials it calls three times more durable in internal tests.
Those numbers are company or launch-spec. The next tables separate them from prices and from named testers.

Table 2. Launch prices: United States and Europe
| Storage (16GB RAM) | United States (Google Store list) | Euro-area launch list (GSMArena; also reported €1,999 / €2,129 / €2,389) | United Kingdom list (GSMArena) | UK contract note |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 256GB | $1,899 | About €2,000 | About £1,800 | Vodafone pages have shown total device cost about £1,906 on a 36-month plan. That is not the unlocked list. |
| 512GB | $2,019 | About €2,130 | About £1,920 | Carrier totals vary. Check the live plan. |
| 1TB | $2,249 | About €2,390 | About £2,150 | Not every EU store may stock 1TB. Unknown without a local Google Store check. |
US figures are Google Store list, tax extra, matching 12 August coverage from 9to5Google and Android Authority. Amazon pages cited in Android Central showed $1,898.94 and $2,018.94, which track those lists. Euro and UK rows are launch compilations, not a 30 August scrape of every store.google.com locale. VAT is usually in the euro and UK list. US tax is extra.
Table 3. Named testers versus Google’s pitch
| Topic | Google / spec sheet | Android Central (Sutrich, 29 Aug) | Other reviews (not PetaTech24) |
|---|---|---|---|
| Body | Thinner, lighter, 3x durability in company tests, IP68 | Yes thinner/lighter. Flat sides hard to open. Rear half thinner than the front | WIRED: still comparatively chunky. TechRadar: cleaner, still thicker than Samsung |
| Displays | Inner peak up to 3,600 nits (Google specs) | Much brighter. PWM poor for flicker-sensitive users, in his view | WIRED: no complaint beyond the crease. 9to5Google: outer panel strong outdoors, crease still behind Fold 8 |
| Cameras | 48MP main (Google: 56 percent more light), 10.5MP ultrawide, 10.8MP 5x | Behind Pixel 11 Pro/XL. Versus Z Fold 8, Razr Fold, Magic V6: main fine, DR and texture lag; portraits messy | WIRED: good camera, weaker than slab Pros. Tom’s Guide: could be better. TechRadar: often good, 5x helps versus Z Fold 8 |
| Chip | Tensor G6, Titan M3 | Slow for the price versus competition | Tom’s Guide Geekbench 6: 2,687 / 7,381. TechRadar: enough for daily use, behind Elite-class scores |
| Battery | 24+ hours claim. Smaller cell than last year | Disappointing on many levels. Charging slow | WIRED: 4,806mAh, 24h claim versus 30+ on other Pixel 11s; 6 percent per hour video. Tom’s Guide: 12:31 test, 29 percent in 15 min, 56 percent in 30 min. 9to5Google: decent after break-in, still not very good |
| Score / tone | Marketing | Solid upgrade, wishes Google had gone further | WIRED 7/10. TechRadar generally positive. Tom’s Guide: underwhelming versus Razr Fold and Z Fold 8 Ultra |
Sutrich compared cameras with the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8, Motorola Razr Fold, and Honor Magic V6. He liked Magic Capture, a Pixel 11-only mode that saves stills while recording video. He ranked Pixel multitasking best in the Pixel family and still behind the Razr Fold.
WIRED, dated 25 August 2026, is the useful counter-tone: IP68 and 25W Qi2 are category standouts, software is the reason to pay, hardware is close to a $1,099 Pixel 11 plus a hinge. Tom’s Guide published measured charge and Geekbench numbers. 9to5Google’s 26 August review is milder on battery than Sutrich after a few days of use. None of those replace a PetaTech24 lab.
Pixel 11 Pro starts at $1,099 in the US. Pixel 11 Pro XL starts at $1,299. The Fold’s $1,899 256GB tag is an $800 and $600 step. GSMArena’s euro launch table put Pro and Pro XL 256GB near €1,200 and €1,400 against the Fold’s ~€2,000. UK: about £1,080 and £1,280 versus £1,800. Sutrich said the Fold’s $100 year-on-year US increase is easier to swallow than the rest of Pixel 11 Pro because RAM stays at 16GB. WIRED called the same $100 bump unwelcome because storage did not rise with it.

FAQ
How much is the Pixel 11 Pro Fold in the US?
Google Store list is $1,899 for 256GB. Launch coverage puts 512GB at $2,019 and 1TB at $2,249. Tax extra. Retailer pages may show a few cents off.
How much is it in Europe?
Launch compilations put 256GB near €1,999 to €2,000, 512GB near €2,129 to €2,130, and 1TB near €2,389 to €2,390. UK list is about £1,800 / £1,920 / £2,150. A Vodafone 256GB contract has shown a total device cost near £1,906. That is a financed device total, not the unlocked list. Confirm the live Google Store or carrier page. These are not US-dollar conversions.
Did PetaTech24 test it?
No. Camera, battery, PWM, and opening comments are from named reviewers unless labelled as Google specifications.
Do reviewers agree?
They agree it is thinner, brighter, and iterative. They do not agree how damning the battery is. Sutrich is harsher than 9to5Google after break-in. WIRED’s 7/10 sits between a rave and a pan.
What are Sutrich’s main complaints?
Slow charging, mediocre battery in his use, poor PWM, Tensor lagging the price, flat sides that fight opening.
Bottom Line
The Pixel 11 Pro Fold is Google’s thinner, brighter, IP68 book foldable at $1,899 in the US and about €1,999 / £1,800 at the bottom of European launch lists. Android Central on 29 August found a real step up from last year and still wanted more chip, more battery, and easier hardware to open. WIRED’s 7/10 and Tom’s Guide’s timed battery test point the same way without identical wording. That is a roundup of other people’s days with a $1,899-class phone, not a PetaTech24 spec rewrite.
