The documentation pertains to an unreleased Google smartphone—widely identified in earlier reports as the Pixel 11 Pro Fold. While regulatory filings typically focus on radio-frequency (RF) safety, analysts reviewing the FCC documentation identified a critical detail on page 30 of the device's SAR (Specific Absorption Rate) test report.

The report explicitly references "MediaTek processing algorithms" and MediaTek signal-processing protocols. Industry analysts say these references would be unexpected on Samsung's Exynos modem platform, strongly suggesting a different modem architecture.

For years, Google's use of Samsung Exynos modems alongside its Tensor chips has been a recurring point of criticism among many Pixel users, particularly regarding battery efficiency, thermal performance, and cellular reliability.
