Nvidia, SK Group Outline AI Infrastructure Initiative, Reuters Reports

Semiconductor designer Nvidia and South Korean conglomerate SK Group unveiled an initiative valued at over $500 billion covering large-scale artificial intelligence data centers and memory supply cooperation, according to corporate statements reported by Reuters.

The framework includes a long-term agreement with memory chipmaker SK Hynix to supply high-bandwidth memory. Nvidia said the partnership covers memory co-development for AI training, AI agents, and physical AI applications.

Data Center Announcements and Infrastructure Plans

As part of the initiative, telecommunications operator SK Telecom plans to construct a 2-gigawatt AI data center. The facility is set to run on Nvidia's Vera Rubin processors alongside SK Hynix's HBM4 high-bandwidth memory, with the first site scheduled to open in 2027, Nvidia added.

In a separate arrangement reported by Reuters, Nvidia said it is partnering with South Korean internet firm Naver and asset management company Brookfield to expand Naver's existing AI data center in South Korea.
